The Artist Up Close
This display focuses on the people behind some of the Galleries' best-loved pictures, putting the artists themselves centre stage. It features works selected from the Galleries’ Prints and Drawings Collection and brings together intimate portrait drawings and prints made either by the artists themselves or by their contemporaries.

Providing a fascinating glimpse of the artists, these works range from a stunning 18th-century self-portrait by the young Allan Ramsay, to modern and contemporary Scottish portraits, including depictions of Ian Fleming, Sir Eduardo Paolozzi and Alan Davie.

On display in the Scottish Collection from 10 February onwards.
